The replacement car was delivered yesterday morning by a nice man who drove it here from Bristol. (Though they're called Bristol & London, their car fleet is based in Bristol.) I gave him a lift to the station so he could take the train back to Bristol, possibly to repeat the process for another client. He said they serve clients all over the country so this was actually a relatively short journey for him.

The car is the same model but a good few years newer than the 2000 model it is standing in for. The interior seems have become a lot more luxurious (despite the fact that this car actually has a lower spec. interior), the steering is even lighter (I didn't think it could get any lighter, but apparently people like to be able to steer with their pinky finger), and the brakes are a lot softer too.
